The best entertainment
Type of venue:
BAR / CLUB
Food – IF ONE MUST
Drink – EXCELLENT
Party – QUIRKY AND GREAT FUN
Who was seen there:
Classy design, oodles of charm, French windows, old school chandeliers – all just a setting for unique entertainment – waiters and bar staff occasionally break into a song – they are all singers / dancers during the day. The songs are safe classics / greatest hits. The venue even has its own Archer Street’s got talent competition. If this sounds cheesy, don’t be put off – it’s actually quite classy and good fun. Drinks are named after famous songs and expert bartenders – Gavin – mixed some mean versions of Manhattan. By midnight, everybody was out of their chairs dancing between the tables and on micro-improvised dance floor. The venue serves bar food and the platters were decent, but you would never come to Archer Street for food.
...it’s a haven of quirky cool complete with singing bar staff who belt out easy-listening classics at regular intervals (better than it sounds, honestly). Still relatively undiscovered, it’s at risk of becoming a celebrity haunt after a recent cameo on E4’s glossy reality snoozefest Made in Chelsea.
The theme extends to the bar and waiting staff, who are on hand to entertain by singing a compilation of classic hits and dancing around on tables in the classiest way possible – a sophisticated version of karaoke. The atmosphere is electrifyingly positive and upbeat. You’ll have such a wonderful time at Archer Street.
Archer Street is very much a Soho bar with two personalities. This elegant West End hangout has all the hallmarks of a hotel bar, with a gentle yet sophisticated buzz upon entry. It has an exclusive, stylish feel to it, but without the members club policy. They serve deliciously well crafted cocktails, but don't be surprised if the bar staff break out into the latest chart topper while serving you a cocktail!
